BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR BHUTANESE CHILDREN THROUGH KIDS' ATHLETICS

DRU TOURS supports grassroots Kids’ Athletics in Bhutan through partnerships, athletics kits, and support for school-led events.

Why Athletics? Why Now?

Kids’ Athletics helps children build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and healthy habits through movement and participation. Its fun and inclusive approach makes it a powerful way to support the next generation of Bhutanese youth. Source Source

“As a national athlete with 10 years in sports, I’ve seen firsthand how one opportunity—one pair of shoes, one coach, one word of encouragement—can transform a life. I know the struggles of limited resources, inadequate facilities, and fighting for recognition.”

That’s why DRU TOUR is committed to building Bhutan’s next generation of champions. Through our “Champions of the Kingdom” program, every tour booking directly supports young athletes, rural schools, and our national Athletics Federation.

KIDS ATHLETICS BHUTAN

First Shoes, First Race Pema (Age 10, Lhuentse)

"I always ran barefoot to school. When DRU TOUR gave me my first real running shoes, I cried. Now I run in the school athletics team and I'm the fastest in my class!"

Every Child Gets a Medal Gasa Primary School Meet

At our first kids athletics event in Gasa, all 45 children participated — even those who had never run in a race before. Every single child went home with a medal and a huge smile.

From Zero to Champions Zhemgang District Program

Before DRU TOUR's support, Zhemgang had no organized kids athletics. Now 120 children train regularly, and 3 have qualified for the Junior National Championship!

Photo galleries from our events coming soon! We’re capturing the joy of kids discovering athletics across Bhutan.
